The West Michigan Fencing Academy is a non-profit 501c3 corporation run by a Board of Directors and an incredible group of volunteers. We train in all three disciplines, Foil, Epee and Sabre. All members are welcome to attend our Board meetings. You can either call or check the monitor at the Academy for dates and times.

2010- Samantha Nemecek joins the West Michigan Coaching Staff making WMFA the only fencing academy with two professional coaches in West Michigan, teaching foil, epee and sabre. WMFA hosts the First STATE GAMES of MICHIGAN! We also host another German Fencing Exchange in August of 2010

2009- Samamtha Nemecek earns fourth NCAA All-American and is awarded the NCAA Big ten Medal of Honor. This is awarded only to one male and female athlete at a top ten university each year. Sam was Northwestern Universities Female Scholar Athlete of 2009.

2008- Samamtha Nemecek earns third NCAA All-American

2007- Samantha Nemecek becomes US Junior World Championship Team Member in
Belek, Turkey and NCAA All American.
WMFA goes to Tettenang, Germany to complete our fencing exchange.
WMFA partners with the West Michigan Sports Commission to bring national fencing events to Grand Rapids

2006- Mike Nemecek brings home the gold for the US at the World Cup in Bratislava, Slovakia
